    Dioclear contains diosmectite a natural clay with a very high surface area. Dioclear protects the gastrointestinal mucosa and entraps pathogens that can cause diarrhoea. Dioclear also absorbs water from the large intestine restoring balance.

    What is Diarrhoea?

    Diarrhoea is defined by the World Health Organization as having 3 or more loose or liquid stools per day.

    How often can people get Diarrhoea?

    Most people will have one to two bouts of diarrhoea per year, often accompanied by abdominal pain, cramps or bloating.

    Are there many types of Diarrhoea?

    Yes there are 2 types of diarrhoea: acute and chronic.

    What is acute diarrhoea?

    Acute diarrhoea is sudden and short lived, usually lasting from 1 to 5 days, sometimes longer and is not usually serious unless the patient is an infant or elderly.

    Is Dioclear Clinically Proven?

    Yes Dioclear contains diosmectite which has proven clinical efficacy in decreasing stool output and shortening the duration of diarrhoea.

    How many sachets of Dioclear a day should I take?

    Adults: 1 sachet in 100ml of liquid 3 times per day.
    Children over 6 years: 2-3 sachets per day.
    Young children over 1 year: 1-2 sachets per day.

    Can I dissolve my Dioclear sachet into my infants bottle?

    Yes, you can dissolve one sachet into 50ml of liquid in your infants bottle feeder.

    What are key goals in management of Diarrhoea?

    1. Reduce duration and severity of Diarrhoea by taking an anti diarrhoeal treatment such as Dioclear to reduce stool output and duration of diarrhoea.
    2. Prevent and treat dehydration: Keep up your fluid intake.

    Should I take Dioclear on holidays?

    Yes every year up to half of international holiday makers suffer from travellers Diarrhoea while on holiday. Always carry an anti-diarrhoeal treatment such as Dioclear with you on holidays should you need it.

    What are the instructions for use for Dioclear? What is the dosage for Dioclear?

    Adults: 1 sachet in 100ml of liquid 3 times per day.
    Children > 6 years: 2-3 sachets per day.
    Young children >1 year: 1-2 sachet per day.

    Each sachet to be used only once after opening. Dissolve the content of each sachet in a glass of water or other liquid.

    For young children, the contents of the sachet can be suspended in the bottle feeder in 50ml of water or mixed with any other beverage, and divided into 2-3 doses throughout the day. It is also possible to dissolve the Dioclear in semisolid feedings. To obtain a homogeneous suspension, slowly pour the powder into the liquid and mix well.

    It is advisable to consume Dioclear between meals.
